Our Learning Approach

We think beyond the learning to help develop knowledge which powers future development and success.

At Hemsley Fraser, you'll not only experience leading-edge content and delivery, we focus on every aspect of your learning experience.

Stimulating the senses through sound, touch, sight, smell and taste helps all of us learn and remember. So, at Hemsley Fraser we engage all your senses for a truly unique and stimulating experience.

We pride ourselves on the positive feedback we get from our open training course customers, but we never stand still... we are pleased to announce the launch of our improved open customer experience:

  1. Understanding your needs - We send you an online pre-course questionnaire to ensure we understand your background and requirements. These are reviewed in advance of the event by your learning consultant to ensure they can address your needs.
  2. Making life easier and helping the environment - Our joining instructions are now sent to you electronically and are completed online, rather through the post or emailing attachments back and forth (unless you request otherwise).
  3. Providing clear steps to ensure effective learning - We provide you with an easy to use 'supporting effective learning' pack. This provides a straightforward guide to the best practice steps to take to ensure your learning is maximised.
  4. Helping to apply the learning in the workplace - We help you use the learning with confidence back in the workplace, so that you and your organisation really see practical benefits.

99% of our delegates tell us they would like to come back on another course.

Our 'Supporting Effective Learning Guide' helps delegates benefit from effective learning, which makes a real difference for the individual, the team and the organisation.

Our Delivery Style

  • Practical and hands-on - we focus on providing learning and putting it into practice. Through this approach participants' confidence is increased in a risk free environment.
  • Small groups - all course group sizes are optimised to allow a high level of interaction. Maximum class sizes on Hemsley Fraser training courses vary between 5 and 14 participants per event.
  • Challenge and stimulate - through small groups we create a safe and risk-free environment in which the consultant can challenge participant to enable them to confront skill gap areas and develop confidence.
  • Self-analysis - helping individuals understand their current strengths and weaknesses is key to enabling effective learning. Through a range of activities, including surveys, trainer assisted discussion groups and video role-plays, we help to increase participants ’ own self-awareness.
  • Effective learning materials - our expert consultants use the highest quality training materials to assist the learning experience.
  • Resources appropriate to the learning need - these include formal management games, use of video, role-play, case studies, self-analysis surveys and use of relevant technologies.
  • Action planning – during the course participants develop action plans to enable them to transfer their learning back to the work place.
