Overview
Course duration: 1 day.
The employment scene in Germany is significantly different to the UK. With a legal system that has been heavily influenced by the social situation in the country over the years, German employers operate very differently. In Germany, the entire employee representation system differs considerably from the position in the UK and employers are heavily involved with works councils. Discrimination law is relatively undeveloped compared to the UK and unfair constructive dismissal is not known in Germany. This seminar provides an excellent overview of the law in Germany by an expert from Eversheds, emphasising the differences from the UK position throughout.
